In addition to a wide range of neighborhoods to choose from, Boston also offers a variety of housing types, from historic rowhouses to newly constructed high-rise apartments to industrial lofts.
Some of our favorite buildings are featured in this section, along with descriptions and typical price ranges.
The Court Square Press Building, located at the head of the Fort Point Channel and across from the Broadway MBTA "T" station in South Boston, is the first of a two phase project which includes new construction Macallen Building. The Court Square building was originally constructed in 1906 to house the factory and offices of the Macallen Manufacturing Company, and was later taken over by its namesake. In 2003 it was renovated and converted into 130 residences with a 24 hour concierge, gym, 20,000 sq/ft landscaped terrace and outdoor heated lap pool. Interior finishes are in a loft style with exposed brick, beamed ceilings and exposed ductwork. Call today for details on units available both for sale and for rent. MBTA: Red Line (Broadway)
